Scam
Caller advised my mother she had won a "Wheel of Fortune" contest. She never entered any contests but was told she didn't have to enter to be selected as a winner. Winnings were a new vehicle and a cheque for $255,000.00. Caller wanted to verify her identity and provided her with the first six digits of her bank card and wanted her to say the rest of the numbers (she didn't). They knew she had a credit card and paid all her bills on time. The caller said they would call her back in the morning to arrange a time to come pick her up at her residence and take her to the bank to deposit her winnings.
